The beef behind the Brahman cattle and the Partin Ranch

Despite what tourists may think, Florida's animal icon wasn't always a cute mouse. For more than a century, Osceola County has been known to locals and historians as the cattle frontier.  Just driving through Kissimmee you'll see the city adorned with the Brahman cow. These cows are more than just cute though. They represent history and the beginning of a new age of Florida ranching and genetics. (Fun fact: Kissimmee was and is known to many locals as Kowtown!)
