Florida’s wildlife is unlike that of any other state in our country. Because Florida is home to the Everglades’ we have some many different types of animals that you won’t find anywhere else on Earth. And we’re not talking about Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. We’re talking more about alligators, panthers, and pythons...oh my! Florida is also home to several endangered species like the Florida manatee. Wild Florida wants to give you an idea of some places you can go to experience the wonder of Florida’s Wildlife.

Wild Florida

Our airboat rides give you an inside look at undeveloped Florida, and you can’t experience something like this anywhere else. Not only do we have the wonderment available on our airboat rides, we also have a brand new Wildlife Park that features animals that are indigenous to Florida, as well as some animals that are from more foreign places. Don’t miss out on this half day adventure for the entire family. Tickets can be purchased online or at our location in Kenansville.

Blue Springs State Park

Blue Springs State Park is located just about an hour east of Orlando and sits on the largest spring on the St. Johns River. The reason Blue Springs is so special is because it’s a designated manatee refuge. You can take your family out on the boardwalk and watch manatees up close and personal. An estimated 250 to 300 manatees dwell at Blue Springs refuge.

Everglades National Park

While Wild Florida is located in the Northern Everglades, Everglades National Park is located further south. It is 2,200 square miles of pure, sub-tropical wilderness. The landscape consists of sawgrass, lakes, sloughs, mangrove forests and swamps. Florida’s wildlife have definitely made their home in the national park, as the National Park is home to over 1,000 species of fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
