Wild Florida is proud to announce the appointment of its Co-Founder and Co-Owner, Sam Haught, to the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors. Haught is the first member of the board from Osceola County in its recorded history.
VISIT FLORIDA’s Board of Directors consists of tourism industry experts from across the state who, along with its committees and councils, provide guidance, input, and insight into the evolution of VISIT FLORIDA programs, processes, and messaging.
Sam Haught, an accomplished entrepreneur and dedicated advocate for preserving Florida's natural beauty, is no stranger to the tourism industry. As a co-founder of Wild Florida, Haught has played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leader in eco-adventures and wildlife conservation in the Sunshine State. His passion for Florida's unique environment and commitment to sustainable tourism have garnered recognition and respect in the industry.
Haught earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from Rollins College. Before co-founding Wild Florida, he accumulated 11 years of invaluable experience at Goldman Sachs, Bountiful Development, and Live TV. Haught is an active member of the Central Florida community, with leadership roles in his church, several chambers of commerce, convention and visitors’ bureaus, charitable organizations, and school groups in the state he loves.
Along with his wife, Kara, and their five children, his goal is to inspire others to appreciate and enjoy all the beautiful things wild Florida offers.
