The NatGeo WILD aired a two-part special titled “Florida Untamed” on Sunday, April 27. The purpose of the special is to take viewers into the depths of Florida’s swamplands, coastal shores and marine reefs in order to showcase the variety of Florida wildlife and landscapes. Florida is a beautiful area that is home to such animals as alligators, American crocodiles, Burmese pythons, sea turtles and rattlesnakes, just to name a few.

Many people don’t know that right outside of the hustle and bustle of Disney World lies an undeveloped Florida landscape that is ripe with animals and plant life that will you away. The special will focus on the array of terrifying predators, invaders and survivors as they struggle to live in the Florida habitat. The only common goal among all of this wildlife is survival, and viewers will get a sneak peek into the action via this special.

Florida Untamed is produced by 2C Media Inc. for [Nat Geo WILD](http://www.examiner.com/topic/nat-geo-wild). Executive producers for 2C Media Inc. are Carla Kaufman-Sloan, Chris Sloan, Jeff Morales and Calvin Simmons. For Nat Geo WILD, executive producer is Jenny Apostol, senior vice president of development and production is Janet Han Vissering, and executive vice president and general manager is Geoff Daniels.

Wild Florida has a passion for the native wildlife here in Florida, and we feature several of those creatures in our wildlife park located on grounds just outside of Orlando. We also will take you on a tour into undeveloped Florida via an [airboat ride](https://www.wildfloridairboats.com/airboat-tours) into the headwaters of the Everglades.
