Alligators: Gators can be spotted nearly anywhere if you’re looking for them, but the best time of year to spot a gator in the wild is during spring time, when they being mating season. Manatees: These sea cows can be be visible starting in November, when they begin to migrate to South Florida for the winter months. Sea Turtles: During the summer and early fall months, you can see loggerheads digging nests and laying eggs. Mostly any beach along the Florida coasts will have turtles nests, but it’s extremely essential that they are not to be disturbed.
Wading Birds: One of the best places to view wading birds is Everglades National Park and throughout southwest Florida. You will see the most birds around springtime, but they are also here year-round throughout canals and wetlands.
Bald Eagles: Nesting for Bald Eagles occurs anywhere between September and April. Nests are typically found closer to water in trees that allow for optimal viewing of the surrounding area. Bald eagles can be seen throughout the year, although many tend to migrate south during the winter. With some luck you might be able to spot one during any time of the year.
