Many of our guests have commented on and inquired about how we make the enclosures for our Wild Florida animals, so we decided to share what goes into creating these happy homes.    It actually starts before we ever get the animal – we have to do research. We need to know what their natural habitat is like, and their habits in that environment. We definitely got things right with our two-toed sloth research. Our resident sloth family, Guy, Ana, and George, are guest favorites. Did you know the sloths also gave us their animal seal of approval? Animals only breed when they feel comfortable.

Wild Florida family values

Hi, we’re the Munns family – the folks behind Wild Florida. Like the 200-plus critters in our Wildlife Park, we’re a spirited bunch who also calls the Middle of Nowhere, FL home. Animals aside, we’re also a big bunch. Ranier and April Munns are the head of the family, which includes 12 adult children and is nearly 55 strong when you include their spouses and children. And every single one of us has had an impact on how Wild Florida has taken shape over the years.   Ranier is a prominent Orlando attorney who was also raised in the City Beautiful. Lemur Week at Wild Florida

You probably know by now, but here at Wild Florida we are crazy about a lot of different animals, one of which is our conspiracy of lemurs! We have two types of lemurs that call Wild Florida home, our red ruffed and ring-tailed lemurs, and are pretty excited about celebrating them during Lemur Week!  The World Lemur Festival will be celebrated in Madagascar from October 29-31, 2015, and the Lemur Conservation Network is encouraging "Lemur Lovers" around the world to celebrate with them.
