For the past seven years, our mission at Wild Florida has been to provide an unforgettable Florida wildlife experience that promotes a connection with animals in the Everglades while inspiring education and conservation. Starting with airboat rides in Florida, we quickly expanded our Gator and Wildlife Park and brought guests even closer with some of our animals by providing interactive animal encounters. Despite the efforts of the best planners, there's bound to be a few things you weren't able to do when you visited us for the first time. We're exploring five things you might've missed during your first trip to Wild Florida and what you should add to your agenda when you visit us again.
Every day, there seems to be some new, "trending" social media app. Despite your phone storage issues, curiousity gets the best of you and you find yourself making space on your phone to see what everyone's talking about. With more than 1,800 emojis available on iPhone and Andriod, it's safe to say that people love using emojis in texts, Instagram captions, and, for some brands, in advertisements! With this love for cute, expressive emojis, it's no suprise that people would be drawn to the app Bitmoji, where you create a mini you to accompany your messages.
With more than 200 alligators living in our Gator Pond inside our Gator and Wildlife Park, neighboring Lake Cypress with more wild, scaly friends, it’s no secret we know a thing or two about alligators. To share this knowledge, raise awareness, and share our passion for this fascinating, yet misunderstood creature, we'll be hosting our first ever Gator Week and giving everyone free admission into our Gator and Wildlife Park starting May 1st through May 6th!
The annual Academy Awards ceremony is a time to come together and rave about the year's best movies, actors, and of course, what the stars are wearing. With the need to stand out from the other celebs walking down the red carpet, many go out of the way to find unique, one-of-a-kind dresses and suits. Playing with different fabrics and textures, designers draw inspiration from the weirdest (or sometimes wildest things) to come up with their breaktaking outfits. While the glitz and glam is always eye-catching, a few celebrities really stood out to us with their slight animal inspirations. On the blog, we go over some of the stars who were dressed to the nines in some Wild Florida animal-inspired designs at the Oscars last weekend.
